A few people have had other questions in addition to those explained in the installation video. You may also find your answer in the FAQ section of this site.
The first question is WHERE are you going to install GMBP. It needs to be on its own website or its own application in IIS v6. If you are using IIS 7, then please make sure you have the IIS 6 Management Compatibilty installed.
You will also need to create a database before starting the installation. The installer will create the tables and data required for the program to operate, but the initial database will need to be created. Please also note down the credentials as these will be required during the application installation - it will configure all three applications for you!
The final preparatory step is to prepare a user account to run the background processes. This user will need to be able to write to the %Program Files%/Gemini MBP folder. Obviously these permissions will need to be configured after the directory has been created!
Ok, so we're now ready to install the application. Hopefully this is a straight forward process. Gollow the on-screen instructions in the video, merely providing the configuration for the database and the background processes
For first time installers, when prompted to create/populate the database you will need to do this. Also, have it create the scheduled tasks for you. This is explained in the video.
Ok, so you have the confirmation screen and anxious to get started quickly? There is another video on configuration. It will help you get the basics set up and get you started as quickly as possible. You will want to customise and configure GMBP as you see the type of emails you get. For example, each time you find a 'Out of office' you might want to tweek the rules for ignoring auto-reply notifications. All of the configuration elements will be posted in seperate new articles, explaining each item.
We hope you will find GMBP useful, and we always welcome feedback on how well you think it is woring, and also on improvements you would like to see in furture versions.
