Project Identification

Project Identification is about finding the right project from the email content.

The Project Identification tab contains the following settings:

Restrict to user projects: This limits the potential projects to those that the reporter can access. Otherwise, all projects will be considered.

Use Gemini Project Code: This will search for the project code in the subject line. If found, the email will be assigned to that project.

Use Gemini Project Name: This will search for the project name in the subject line. If found, the email will be assigned to that project.

Use Project Smart Match: This will take the project information and search for keywords in the email body and subject. It will score all the references and select the project with the highest score. The email will be assigned to that project.

Use Default Project: If a project cannot be identified based on the content, the default, specified below, will be assigned.

Default Project: If you have selected “Use Default Project”, whichever project is selected here will be assigned.

Item Id Regex: This is used to retrieve the issue ID from the email subject line. So long as the email subject contains the default code (eg [ACME-123]) it will be matched to the right issue. This setting probably won’t need to be changed unless you have altered the standard Gemini notifications.
